“The experience itself was amazing, however the company was not clear about a few things: you get given 2L of water at the start of the hike, and you have to give 1L of it at the basecamp to get tea and coffee. Additionally, you carry a frozen lasagna with you, which is then heated up, mine was mostly cold. The guides were good, but they kept on walking ahead and there were moments where I felt I was left behind, especially in the dark. However, it was an amazing experience, I would really recommend the experience to anyone who doesn't mind a physical challenge and a bit of cold.”

After the allotted time in chichicastenango I went back to the shuttle and found out it was going back to Antigua not Panajachel and so I got dropped off on the side of the road to a different shuttle. Day two of the tour ended up going smoothly but day one was a mess. Would all have gone much smoother if the company communicated ahead of time - wasn’t concerned when I thought everyone…”

“Great tour. Both guides very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely bring hiking boots or very sturdy shoes. Pack a rain jacket too because it just sometimes starts to rain. The views from the temples and pyramids are spectacular Climb them all if you can. Bring a lot of water- two tall bottles each. The sites offer drinks and the prices are high. The hotel Villa de Maya is very nicely maintained with friendly staff. It is a bit secluded and not on the island of Flores. They do offer transport for a fee. The restaurant serves amazing food. I would take this excursion again.”
